Hunter Hillenmeyer

Hunter is a Venture Partner for Next Legacy. Based in Nashville, Hunter has played a critical role in expanding the firm’s reach in the Midwest and Eastern parts of the U.S. Hunter is also the co-host of our bi-monthly podcast series, Next Legacy Perspectives.

Previously, Hunter led the partnerships platform at STRIVR, a venture-backed AR/VR startup. He was also a Venture Partner with OCA Ventures, an early-stage venture firm in Chicago, and served as President of the gaming company Overdog, which was acquired by Odd Networks in 2016.

Hunter played eight seasons in the NFL for the Chicago Bears and served on the Board of the NFLPA. Hunter graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University and Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern, where he earned his MBA while in the home stretch of his NFL career. Hunter and his wife Shannon have three young girls who are also picking up - and dominating - what seems like every sport!
